Biography
Joseph L. Mecca III is an attorney at The Mecca Law Firm in Paramus, New Jersey, where he focuses his practice on estate litigation, real estate, family law, and general civil matters. Born and raised in Paramus, Joseph continues his family’s tradition of serving the northern New Jersey community with integrity, practical problem-solving, and personal attention.
Mr. Mecca earned his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in 2016 and his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2021. After law school, he served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Kathleen A. Sheedy, J.S.C., in the Monmouth County Superior Court, Civil Division, where he gained valuable experience in motion practice and complex civil litigation.
Following his clerkship, Mr. Mecca worked at Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas, LLP in New Brunswick, handling insurance defense matters, before taking on a leadership role as Director of the Middlesex County site for the New Jersey Reentry Corporation, a nonprofit helping formerly incarcerated individuals rebuild their lives through employment and support services.
Since joining The Mecca Law Firm in 2023, Joseph has applied his diverse background in litigation and public service to help clients through life’s most significant personal and financial transitions. He is known for his meticulous preparation, clear communication, and genuine dedication to the people and families he represents.
